Even for us humans, if we really think of it - what makes the 1st of any year be so special ? Nothing. Could have been any day in the year.

 Actually, many people are asking me, private or from work, when I'll be up to speed again. In short - this will take some time. The reason ? I have a spiral Fracture of the right bone on my right foot. This one usually stabilizes the foot in it's structure, so it's not just a matter of immobilization, it needs to be fixated. This fixation has been done using 2 Titanium Alloy screws. But the drawback is that I am not allowed to walk with this foot normally for 8 Weeks after the operation has taken place. For moving around, I got kind of a Shoe - which forces all pressure on the talon, but I can really only walk using crutches for more than 200 meters.
Only - these screws want to get out again. And - this will happen roughly 12Weeks after these have been put in. But before this can happen - the medics need to verify the bone structure is OK again - means some more medical examinations to take place. Anyway - the accident having taken place Jul. 7th, the screws having been screwed in on July 12th, I'll be able to walk again (hopefully normally) Sept. 6th, and the removal will take place on October 12th.
In the meantime, I am not allowed to take any flights (as my job as System Engineer usually requires). Because of the lack of movements, the danger of a trombosis is too high - as stated by Prof. Forst of the Waldkrankenhaus in Erlangen/Germany.

It's kind of incredible how many problems such a little bone can do... It kind of stops you from doing anything which requires walking...
This is also the reason - for this Time I do give myself the so called Bulshit-Award !
