Comment on Model
The power setup is sized to provide a top speed of 250Km/h.
And after the first flight, I can confirm that this is well the case.
Never lose sight of your plane - or it will be a total loss!
As fast as it goes, many people are afraid of it. However, I have rarely seen a model that boils my adrenaline as this one does. What a rush!

Voodoo pylon racer |

Past Christmas, my tender half offered me a little toy I was thinking to get myself for a long time now. It is the Voodoo pylon racer - a full moulded pylon mini plane designed for speed. The one I got is Yellow/Black colored. For the electronics, I decided to take what is proposed for this plane, notably:
- HET 3W Brushless Motor
- BRUSHLESS CONTROL +T 35
- LiPo TopFuel ECO-X 3S/1300mAh 11.1V 25C Hacker
- CAM-SPEED PROP 4,7x4,7 Propellers
- Servo DES 281 BB, MG
- GR-12L receiver
All equipment is from Graupner, except the Brushless Engine and the LiPo Batteries. It will enable Telemetry feedback from the ESC and inform me when it's time to land.
To have the proper CG, I had to actually push the ESC below the Rx, and pass the connecting cables from the Brushless Engine to the ESC on the left side Top, so that the batteries don't take too much space inside the canopy. The pression from the servos would be too high and eventually dismantle the plane in flight.

With this setup, this plane is supposed to make 250Km/h horizontal speed.
So far - the plane is completely built, just need to do some programming adjustments on the transmitter, and wait for nice weather to make its maiden flight.
Update May 2016: First flight happened on a not so sunny and windy day. And, there was nothing to trim. It just flew - no issues, amazingly fast - almost frightening for the pilot, definitely frightening for the other pilots standing nearby... The sound it makes when flying at high speed is excellent! This is an amazing plane.
